From Good to Great: WISP hits Liverpool

From Good to Great: WISP hits Liverpool

Yesterday we packed our bags and hopped on a train to Liverpool. As part of community month and the International Festival for Business, we were co-hosting an event with The (wonderful) Women’s Organisation.

‘From Good to Great: A Woman’s Journey in Business’ featured four impressive women and their stories – Chair Pamela Ball, CEO of Knowsley CVS; EY’s Penney Frohling; social entrepreneur and CEO of MDI, Karen Gallagher MBE… and our own Edwina Dunn.

If you missed the event, listen to the podcast above – and share your thoughts by tweeting @whatiseeproject with the hashtags #goodtogreat or #IFB2014. If you’re looking for wisdom from four very successful women, we’re sure you won’t be disappointed.

We were also so pleased to get the chance to interview three amazing women on the day – Val Price, Director of Proud Of Liverpool, SHEquality Matters founder Tracey Hylton, and Bisahka Sarka MBE, Director of the cultural arts organisation Chaturangan. We’ll be releasing their footage soon – and we’ll also be sharing our conversations with the event attendees who allowed us to pull them away from the tea, cake and networking after the panel (thank you!).

Our founder Edwina (recognisable by her WISP lanyard!) talks to guests

The wonderful Maggie O'Carroll, CEO of The Women's Organisation

We got back on the train to London feeling pretty good about the world. And for that we have our panellists to thank – as well as Maggie O’Carroll and The Women’s Organisation, whose energy and enthusiasm made the day possible.
