Beady-eyed Cultural Identity month followers will already have seen our video interview with Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, and heard some of her story: moving to Britain, the death of her partner, refusing an OBE… and this week, we're going to hear more.
Those lucky enough to see Yasmin chair a discussion on feminism and privilege at this year's WOW Festival will know she has lots to say about how we can work together to make change – listen to her expand on that below.
We talked to Yasmin about her culture: how she negotiates her identity having moved from Uganda to the safety of Britain, the racism and prejudice immigrants face, having a voice in feminism, and much more.
Thanks to Yasmin again for taking part... and don't forget to tune into our other Cultural Identity podcast, with My Africa Is produce Nosa Garrick. Inspired? Then tell us your story, and help us keep exploring what it means to be a woman today.
