More from Meg
I remember a swarm of monarch butterflies in a pine tree at a truck stop in Georgia where my mom and I had slept overnight on a drive from Florida to Detroit. I was laying in the backseat and the tree was upside down. It was morning so the world was mostly grey and white until the butterflies all burst out of the tree at the same time, like a firework in slow motion. I didn't say anything to my mother because she was still asleep, and now that I remember it I might have been dreaming, and that the dream is what I remember. I was wearing a big sweater with Mickey Mouse on it. We got home to Detroit the next day.
