What do you see when you look in the mirror?

I see the past - a prominent white scar across the bridge of my nose from a ventilator mask I was reliant on during a bout of pneumonia which nearly cost me my life.

I see the present - the dark circles around my eyes from yet another night's sleep ravaged by pain.

I see the future - the ambitious twinkle in my eye, and the determined set of my jaw.
