What has been the defining event of your life?

The defining event of my life was having my son 11 years ago. I was terribly ill during my pregnancy, and he was delivered 6 weeks early by caesarean section, we both nearly died during his delivery and subsequent stay in hospital. Since he was born, I feel like I'm a different person. I'm more confident, more sure of myself and, I feel, a better person than I was before.
