Meet the ambassadors: Katie Derham

Katie is an award-winning television and radio presenter, and as well as the Proms she has been seen on a range of programmes such as Moneybox, ITV News, and London Tonight. She was appointed Media and Arts Editor for ITV News in 1998 at the age of 27 - becoming the youngest newscaster on British national television. Impressive indeed!

And what does this talented and dedicated career woman say about taking risks? The answer might surprise you: "I've never really felt I've taken many risks. I've always tended to think there might be an adventure round the corner.... and to take a chance"
