The defining event of my life -- there have been many. Some are personal events, like meeting and marrying my spouse. Others are more career-oriented, like the time a change in jobs led me to decide that I would NOT accept someone else's limited definition of what I could do with my intellectual gifts. Today, that moment still defines decisions I make about my life, my career, and the projects I take on.
