Inspire The Next Generation: What I See Film Competition 2014

Inspire The Next Generation: What I See Film Competition 2014

Today is a big day, everyone. Why, you cry? Well, we’re launching our… *drumroll, please*… short film competition!

And what does that mean, you ask? It means we’re giving aspiring filmmakers a chance to prove themselves, flex their creative muscles, have their entries judged by an expert panel (including our founder Edwina Dunn, patron of the Southbank Centre). Winning films will also be shown on our website and at WISP events. Oh yeah, and the winner will get £1000.

What you do have do? Well, that’s the fun part. We want you to create a short film (between two and six minutes) that will inspire the next generation. How you do that is up to you – you can be as creative as you like. All we want is this: that women and girls all over the world feel inspired, encouraged, and generally, like they can do anything.

Want to know more? Visit our competition tumblr page. There you’ll find all the information you need. And we’ve already teamed up with file sharing service WeTransfer – so it's all systems go.

How do you enter? It’s as easy as one, two, three (and four).
1. Register on our tumblr page – this means we can contact you to remind you of new prizes and upcoming deadlines (hooray!).
2. After that, have a quick look at the guidelines and terms and conditions.
3. Head off and make your film, you creative genius, you.
4. Pop back to our 'enter' page to send us your masterpiece. You can do that via WeTransfer, Vimeo or Dropbox.

Et voilà. Then you wait and see if you make it to our monthly shortlist. Those who do will have their films judged by our expert panel – and will be in with a chance of winning our £1000 prize (gasp). The deadline is 1st October 2014, so get filming everyone.

Got questions? We like questions. Email competition@whatiseeproject.com and we’ll get back to you before you know it.
