You may be back at your desks but never fear, the What I See Project is here. If you’re looking for an injection of inspiration (stat), look no further than Monday’s online commentators for the What I See Campaign:
Julia Rebaudo
We say: Freelance journalist Julia Rebaudo has written for Elle, The Guardian, and Mixmag (to name but a few) and still finds time to win loads of awards for her blog Stylonylon.
She says: “I spend a lot of time writing power ballads at the piano which I record in Garageband. I love reading, cats and knitting.”
Alex Vanthournout
We say: Alex set up Faschercise due to a hatred for Lycra and a love of getting healthy – and her belief that the two are not mutually exclusive.
She says: “I firmly believe fashion and exercise can work together: exercising does not mean you can’t look fierce or enjoy yourself whilst doing it.”
Karen Morris
We say: Karen was shortlisted in the Cosmo Blog Awards last year for Beyond The Bathroom Scale, where she writes about a full-scale lifestyle overhaul… all the while juggling a full-time uni degree.
She says: “It's all about creating a sustainable, enjoyable lifestyle change.“
Beckie Smith
We say: Beckie is a blogger, feminist and freelance journalist (three good things). Her thoughtful blog sinks its teeth into politics, media and much more besides.
She says: “Often [my blog] serves as an outlet for my frustration about the way society views gender roles, patriarchy, and whatever else the news throws at us all. Occasionally I’ll write about something nice.”
That’s all for now… but panic not, because we’ll be back with more campaign commentators and ambassadors before you know it. In the meantime, share your own story.
