On Friday afternoon, our founder Edwina Dunn whizzed to West London to appear on Jo Good’s radio show on BBC London 94.9. We’d tweeted ourselves hoarse during a great #WISPchat on motherhood and guilt (you can catch up here) – but we still managed to give a shout out to get you all listening.
If you missed it, fear not. You can catch up on iPlayer – Edwina appears just two minutes into the show.
We were thrilled to hear some clips from Jody Day’s Features film – after which Edwina and Jo got to have a chat about our monthly Conversations. Edwina nailed exactly what they’re all about when she said that Motherhood month allowed our contributors to break down barriers by talking about the issues that matter to them – so if you want to kick off the year by breaking some barriers of your own, have a listen to our Motherhood podcast and let us know what you think.
Before we go, we’re going to leave you with a few of the highlights from Jo’s ‘What I See’ phone-in…
‘When I look in the mirror, I see a middle-aged-woman with frown lines… but more laughter lines.’
‘I see a lived-in face that’s had a very good time.’
‘There’s something in my heart which makes me keep feeling young.’
Thanks to BBC London for having us! If you didn’t get to ring in, all is not lost. Tell us what you see today – and help us explore what it means to be a woman.
